Bang Si-hyuk, the ‘father of BTS’, is the third most ‘stock rich’ in the world pop music industry

Bang Si-hyuk, chairman of HYBE, has become the third “stock richest” among the shareholders of popular music companies listed worldwide.

According to an article in the American music media Billboard on the 26th (local time), Chairman Bang ranked third on the “stock rich” list in the world popular music industry, behind Spotify co-founders Daniel Ark and Martin Lawrenson.

According to the article, Chairman Bang’s holdings in HYBE are valued at 31.8 percent, or $25.4000 billion (about 3.4389 trillion won).

Billboard explained, “Hive’s stock price has risen since the beginning of this year, which has had a positive effect on Chairman Bang’s ranking,” adding, “Last year, Chairman Bang’s stock was worth $17.2 billion (about 3016.<> trillion won).”

JYP’s Park Jin-young, the founder of another major K-pop agency, and YG’s Yang Hyun-seok, executive producer, ranked fifth and eighth respectively in the ranking.

Executive producer Park Jin-young held $5 million (about 5900.7568 billion won) of JYP shares, while executive producer Yang Hyun-seok held $1 million (about 9900.2693 billion won) of YG shares, Billboard reported.
